3.7. Signing of Performance Agreements by SMS Members
All members of the SMS must conclude and sign performance agreements within specific timeframes. Information regarding the signing of performance agreements by SMS members, the reasons for not
complying within the prescribed timeframes and disciplinary steps taken is presented here.

• In the event of a National or Provincial election occurring within the first three (3) months of a financial year, all members of the SMS must conclude and sign their performance agreements for that
financial year within three (3) months following the month in which the elections took place. For example, if elections took place in April, the reporting date in the heading of the table above should
change to 31 July 2021.
